Access Direct Connect Add-in

Once the Direct Connect Add-in has been installed by your Microsoft 365 administrator, you will see the following ribbon from Excel (desktop version).

You may login to the service by selecting the DirectConnect ribbon (1) and then clicking on the Show Taskpane icon (2). This action will authenticate your credentials and load your system. Note, the underlying service will pause after several hours of non-use. If you are logging in when the system is paused, it will take around 20 seconds to bring the service back online.

Once the authentication process has completed, the BankTrends ribbon will load as shown below.

If the BankTrends ribbon does not load, please close Excel and reopen and repeat the above steps.

If the below message appears after authenticating, insure you have provided BankTrends with the correct username. You can check your Excel username by clicking on it from within Excel. Note, some organizations have a different Office/Excel username from their email address.
